Northeast Credit Union Joins USS New Hampshire Commissioning Celebration with $5,000 Gold Level Sponsorship
Portsmouth NH (October 20, 2008) - Northeast Credit Union has signed onto the USS New Hampshire Commissioning effort by making a $5,000 Gold Level sponsorship commitment to ensure a "gold standard" community celebration in conjunction with the commissioning of the new submarine USS New Hampshire on October 25th.
In making the announcement, Northeast Credit Union President and CEO Peter Kavalauskas said, "Northeast Credit Union joins our Portsmouth Naval Shipyard community neighbors in saluting the officers, crew and families of 'our' submarine, the USS New Hampshire and is proud to join the Community Commissioning Committee's efforts to provide a world class welcome to the sub and visitors."
Northeast Credit Union has nine New Hampshire branches and 14 ATM locations around the state, including a branch at the Shipyard. The Committee estimates that the cost of the community celebration will be approximately $300,000, based on the experience of other cities who have hosted US Navy Commissioning events.
